Funding partially provided by the State agencies including the Department of Mental Health, the Department of Human Services, and the Department of Transportation. Federal funding is provided by  the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. 
OUR AGENCY

Warren Yazoo Behavioral Health is one of fourteen regional community mental health centers in the state of Mississippi.  The agency has provided behavioral health care services since 1975. Warren Yazoo Behavioral Health operates under the supervision of regional commissions appointed by the county boards of supervisors comprising the respective counties. The Mississippi Department of Mental Health is responsible for certifying, monitoring, and assisting the agency. Warren Yazoo Behavioral Health provides comprehensive mental health, addiction, and intellectual/developmental disorders services. Mental/behavioral health services are provided in both Warren and Yazoo County. Residential and Intensive Outpatient addiction services are provided in Warren County and Intellectual/Developmentally Disabled services are provided in Yazoo County. 


 

OUR MISSION

Warren Yazoo Behavioral Health, a non-profit 501(c)(3) agency, is one of fourteen (14) regional community mental health centers certified by the Mississippi Department of Mental Health to provide comprehensive behavioral health services. Our mission is to provide the highest quality and most cost-effective behavioral health services to individuals and families who need our services.


Warren Yazoo Behavioral Health, Inc. is certified by the State of Mississippi Department of Mental Health  and receives oversight and audits from additional State agencies including the Division of Medicaid, and the Mississippi Department of Transportation. Substance abuse services are also provided to Mississippi residents through contracts with the Mississippi Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, the Ninth Judicial Court District, and the United States District Court Southern District of Mississippi. 

Warren Yazoo Behavioral Health is a member of the National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare, the oldest and largest trade association representing the nation's providers of mental health, substance abuse and developmental disabilities.

Warren Yazoo Behavioral Health is also a member of the National Rural Health Association. The National Association for Rural Mental Health (NARMH) was founded in 1977 in order to develop and enhance rural mental health and substance abuse services and to support mental health providers in rural areas.

Warren Yazoo Behavioral Health is a United Way agency and receives funding through the United Way of West Central MS. The agency has also received local funding from International Paper Company. 

OUR STAFF

We currently employ approximately 175 individuals. Agency staff includes Board Certified Psychiatrists,  Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners, a Psychologist, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Therapists, Community Support Specialists, and Administrative and Support staff.
